Veronica Slater

Veronica Slater is a painter based in London and has exhibited extensively in group shows since 1979. Her first solo show was in 1990. She graduated from Camberwell Art School in 1980 and took her M.A. in Fine Art in the University of Northumbria 1987-1989. She is a committed and widely experienced teacher currently working at The City Literary Institute. She has written a number of catalogue essays and her essay "Negotiating Genres" appeared in the volume "Outlooks: Lesbian and Gay Sexualities and Visual Cultures", Routledge, 1996. Her work has been widely reviewed and is discussed in Cherry Smyths recent book on Lesbian Art. This is the first time her work has been exhibited in Ireland.
