Michael Beirne
Michael Beirne is an artist currently based in Kilkenny who works in
a variety of mixed-media formats including 3-D and 2-D elements as in the
installation presented here. He graduated from the Crawford College of
Art, Cork in 1980 and completed a postgraduate programme in painting there
also in 1982. He has exhibited widely since 1980 and his work has been
shown in Holland, Denmark, France, Italy, Poland, and the US. He has had
solo shows in Cork and Dublin. He is active in art education and is currently
teaching at the Waterford RTC.
