Hunter's Hotel is one of the oldest coaching inns in Ireland, dating from c.1700, and is located 45 minutes by car from Dublin
( Dublin Tourism) city and 30 minutes from the ferry at Dun Laoghaire.The hotel has been operated by the same family since 1840.

Hunter's is set in 2 acres of award winning gardens on the banks of the river Vartry in Co. Wicklow, known as the Garden of Ireland.

Local amenities include 15 eighteen hole golf courses within 1/2 an hour's drive, most notably Druid's Glen and The European.

The hotel is an ideal base from which to visit Mount Usher Gardens , Powerscourt House & Gardens, Russborough House, Killruddery House & Gardens, Kilmacurragh Arboretum, Avondale House, Wicklow Town, Wicklow's Historic Gaol,
Glendalough, Roundwood, Avoca, Luggala, The Devil's Glen and the Wicklow mountains.

Hunter's Hotel is located 1km from the N.11, the main Dublin to Rosslare route.

From Dublin, turn left at the bridge in Ashford village.

From Wexford, take the first turn right, the R761 sign posted for Newcastle, on the Dublin side of Rathnew village.
