European Transport & Telematics Systems Ltd.

TRANSPORT CONSULTANCY

ETTS was originally formed to provide transport consultancy services, and this has been a major part of our activities over the last five years. Please link to our Project Profile Page for details of our more significant assignments.

Our main domain has been public transport, covering:

  • insitutional and administrative arrangements
  • public transport operations and management
  • public transport policies and business development
  • organisational structure and corporate management
  • service procurement and route contracts
  • fare structures, fare collection systems, and revenue protection
  • operational control systems
  • IT-based support systems
We have experience of working on-site in the EU, in Eastern Europe, and in the former Soviet Union. This covers projects with World Bank, PHARE and TACIS programs. At the same time, we have in-depth knowledge of the Irish and UK transportation sectors, based on years of industry-based experience.

In addition, our willingness to invest in R&D programs in the transport telematics field means that we have leading-edge experience of the new technologies and methods which can deliver efficient, high-quality public transport services. These are as relevant in the developing or transitional economies as in Western Europe or USA. Please visit our Projects Profile Pages for more information about our R&D work.

ETTS is an ideal partner for projects in both Europe and overseas. Our mix of :

  • sound industry knowledge
  • strong experience of working in multi-national teams
  • specialist knowledge in public transport operations
  • specialist knowledge in fare collection systems
  • ITS and telematics capabilities and products

means that we can either join a consortium as a value-adding partner, or provide expert members to project teams.
