ETTS in Profile


ETTS is an independent Irish Consultancy with expertise based within the domains of Public Transport Operations/Management, Transportation Policy, the application of Telematics to Transport (particularly to Public Transport) and Smart Card Technology.

ETTS provides operational and technical assistance to the Public Transport Industry, including projects concerning energy efficiency within bus fleets. We have supported many consultancy missions in Europe and the former Soviet Union.

We are particularly active within the 4th Framework, Research & Development Program of DGXIII of the E.U. and are a significant partner in project proposals in the domains of Demand Management, Integrated Payments and ATT deployment.

ETTS develops and provides high quality, innovative solutions for the transportation and related sectors, tailoring advanced technologies to the needs of both large and small organisations in the public and private sector. The company is committed to maintaining a leading-edge position through research, investment and interaction with others.

We have recently hosted Smart Cards in Business '97, an International Conference on smart card applications. Held over 12-13th November at Royal Hospital Kilmainham, the Conference included 22 speakers from 7 countries on the leading themes for smart cards.

Four sessions were held on Electronic Purse, Electronic Commerce, Transport Applications, and the Multi-Application Environment.

The proceedings are now available from ETTS at a price of IEP 50.
