OK, so we figure your gonna have some questions about this Tape/CD. It wouldn’t be Irish Dancing if there weren’t!! We’ve tried to think of as many as possible with relevant answers to allay any fears you may have.

So, who is playing the Music on the tape/CD?

Colm Keogh - Click HERE for Information on Colm

Kevin Warren - Click HERE for Information on Kevin

And what instruments are played on the tape/CD?

Piano Accordion and Keyboard. Both guys alternate at different times, giving a jazzed up, 90’s feel to the music, but retaining the strict metronomic tempo’s required by dancers. Link to Music here??

And what do they know about playing for Irish Dancers?

Kevin started playing for Feiseanna at the age of 9, yes NINE (proving the fact that there has ALWAYS been a shortage of musicians), he’s now 34!!!

Colm started when he was 14, old by musicians standards!!

Both guys mothers are dance teachers, adjudicators and TCRG Examiners as well, so the phrase "its in their blood" is very apt here!!

They also learnt their trade sitting by the side of May Keogh O’Brien, the most famous Irish dance accompanist of all over the last 15 years, and to whom most Irish accompanists owe a huge debt of gratitude for her unselfish giving of knowledge and time.

Will I recognise the tunes?

That depends on your grade!! Seriously, ALL the music has been chosen specially to cater for each grade. Most of the Beginners stuff has been used for Beginner grade dance competitions for over 40 years, so its likely that your own teachers danced to it too!!
