Dear Clive,

Sorry to hear that you didn't quite manage to gain promotion, but what

the hay!. Unfortunately I won't be watching any game out in Skerries

next year, because I'll be too busy watching Division 1. Maybe the

following year. At least you didn't lose at home this year. But, good

luck in the cup (as long as you don't draw Clontarf).

Yours,

Derek

gidday from australia.

i have fond memories of a pleasant afternoon / evening at the skerries

club back in 1991 during the world cup - enjoying lunch and a few jars

watching the world cup semi between scotland and england (i seem to

recall that skerries were playing blackrock outside - they had the nz /

western samoan 5/8 (outside half) playing whose name escapes me and they

won fairly comfortably!!

I remember thinking that it must get a bit brisk there on the water -

our season is two matches old and we are "enjoying" an indian summer as

april looks like being among the driest in history. Certainly warmer

than you are probably experiencing.

My club is the Old Ignatians' RFC who play in the Kentwell Cup - the

second level of rugby in Sydney (below the Randwick, Gordons, Eastwoods

etc). I am developing a web site for us and when it is up and running

will be in touch with clubs such as yourselves where members of ours

have enjoyed hospitality.

All the best. Good luck to Skerries.

Congratulations on a fine web site, and an impressive performance in the league this year!

(Did you really want to be promoted straight up amongst the big boys first time?).

I'm what you might call a frequent visitor from the same foreign country that one K. Bracken is

now associated with! Send my regards to Mark Palmer, Brian McNally and all the other drunks

I know from Joe's!! I hope to see as many of them as possible at Cambridge this year, or even

to descend on them in the summer!!

I only had one minor problem with your page, it took me a couple of months after discovering

your site in February to realise that the link to Skerries first team A.I.L fixtures was infact a

better way to find up to date results (and the equally important league tables) than chasing

that bleeding dog across the screen (anyway - shouldn't it be a goat?!!!).

Whatever! - I'm not complaining, your site is the only way to get information on Skerries RFC

from the UK! The BBC & CEEFAX show the AIL results and tables about once a month, and

then it seems to be an accident!

Keep up the good work,

John Valentine (AKA - JV/Johny 5/Sean Cuig!!)

P.S. If the name Terry Lyster means anything to you then expect a far more abusive (in the best

possible taste!) mail from him as I've passed on your location!

Clive,

Congratulations on a super page! I've visited before and in fact

downloaded the AIL fixture list from your site - very useful. The reason

for this visit was to try to track down the Senior Cup fixtures.

Anyway, I'll get them elsewhere. The results and league tables are

excellent. I say that even though you finished above MONKSTOWN !!

Well, you beat us fairly and squarely out there. We had a bad day!

Once again, well done on the Web Page. You have set an example for all

other clubs to follow. All the best in the Cup and for next season.
