The Aeollan Quartet
This work by Fredrick May (1911-1985) has been described as the best chamber music to come out of Ireland. May, who studied with Alban Berg in Vienna, was the father figure of Irish composition in the mid-century. The quartet is the only composition of his to have been recorded.
