Aboard the ferry you'll enjoy the visual feast of Valentia Harbour with the island laid out before you on a five minute sailing. The picturesque village of knightstown - with its famous town clock was one of Ireland's first planned villages - superbly designed by the British architect Nimmo and built in the early 1800's. The ferry operates daily from April 1st to September 30th, from 8:30 AM to 10:30PM, seven days a week, continuously.
Picture of Bridge from Valentia onto PortmageeShould you visit outside this period don't worry, we also have a bridge ( the longest opening span bridge in Ireland). You'll have to travel an extra 12 KM to Portmagee and enter Valentia at the other side, but the journey is always worth it.
