PLAYER OF THE YEAR 1999.

BRIAN MOONEY:

Brian had a great season for Belvedere's Under 15 team with the highlight for him

being a hat-trick in the Cannon Cup Final which Belvedere won 4-0. He started the season quietly enough but a switch to central midfield from striker seemed to work wonders for Brian. He revelled in the position and had a great influence in getting his team to the Cup Final.

He was further honoured in September 1999 when Brian Kerr played him in two friendly Under 16 International matches against Belgium.

Brian comes from Tallaght and has been over three years with Belvedere.

MORGAN CRANLEY

Morgan is a very dedicated Goalkeeper constantly training and endeavouring to improve his techniques. He was one of the main reasons why Belvedere's Under 14 team got to the All-Ireland Final last season. Unfortunately they lost to Lourdes Celtic in extra time.

He played for Ireland's Under 14's against Scotland and Northern Ireland and was a member of the Dublin and District Leagues Under 14 Representative team which -won the National Inter-league Competition.

Already this season Morgan has played for the Irish Under 15 International team in a friendly International against Germany.

Morgan comes from Beaumont and has been with Belvedere for three years.
