DDSL Under 12 Premier League

Malahide United 0 - 5 Belvedere F.C.

The excellent Gannon Park in Malahide was the venue for this Under 11 Premier League tie on Saturday.

Belvedere were always in control of the match, with Darragh Raynor bagging 2 great goals in the first half without reply from Malahide.

The second half was all Belvo, as Matthew Callaghan scored a hat-trick, with his third goal a real cracker. Following a brilliant run, leaving the home defenders in his wake, Matthew fired past the 'keeper with a great shot to the back of the net.

Impressive also for Belvo were Paul Mannion and Gavin Ivory, while Glen O'Brien was once again commanding in defence.

DDSL Under 12 Premier League

Belvedere F.C. 1 - 0 Malahide United

At Fairview Park on Saturday, Belvedere Under 11's recorded a 1 - 0 win over Malahide United. Belvo had bounced back from their disappointing 1 - 0 away defeat by Drogheda Boys last weekend, to produce a great team performance on the day.

Good hard working players on the day were Dylan Ryan at centre back, Paul Mannion in mid-field, while up front, Matthew Callaghan lead the line well for Belvo. Indeed it was Callaghan who proved to be the hero of the day when he scored the only goal of the match, mid-way through the second half, when he brilliantly met with Gavin Ivory's well delivered cross into the box.

Also impressive for Belvo were John O'Sullivan and Liam O'Dwyer, who controlled the mid-field area and caused problems for the visitors with their excellent use of the ball. Garreth Foy made his Belvedere debut at left back, when came on as a sub in the second half, and he acquitted himself very well as he helped Belvo secure their win.
