Congratulations to the Dublin and District Schoolboys League who defeated the Kerry Schoolboys League in the final on Friday 13 June 2008 to win the trophy for the 5th successive year.

The Kennedy Cup Tournament was played at the University of Limerick from Monday 9th to Friday 13th June 2008

Following impressive wins over the Inishowen, Wicklow and Mayo Leagues in the group stages on Monday and Tuesday, the DDSL then had tight victories over Waterford ( 1 - 0 ) in the quarter finals on Wednesday and Kildare in the semi's with a 5 - 4 penalty shoot out win following a scoreless draw on Thursday. 

A single goal decided the final in the DDSL's favour on Friday following a very close match in which the Kerry side also had some decent scoring chances. The Dub's 'keeper was called on to make a vital save to deny the Kerry striker.  

Well done to the DDSL management team and the squad, including Belvedere Under 13's  players Adam Evans, Gareth Brady, Eoin Hyland and skipper Darragh Lenihan on a tremendous week.
