Paul Corry Named in Republic of Ireland Under 18 Squad

Belvedere Under 17's captain Paul Corry has been named in the Republic of Ireland Under 18 squad for the Limoges four -nation friendly tournament in France from October 26th - November 2nd 2008. Former Belvedere player Danny Joyce ( Reading) is also included in the squad.

Irish manager Sean McCaffrey has today named his squad of 18 players and includes seven members of last season’s Under-17 squad which featured at the UEFA Championship finals in Turkey.

There is no UEFA competitive football at Under-18 level but McCaffrey will use these three matches to assess the talent ahead of next season’s Under-19 UEFA Championship campaign which gets underway next Autumn.

The Republic of Ireland will play their first game on Tuesday, October 28 against Serbia (4pm, local time) before meeting host nation France on Thursday, October 30 (7pm, local time). Ireland complete the tournament by facing Denmark on Saturday, November 1 (3pm, local time).
