Republic of Ireland Under-15 manager Vincent Butler has named his 18-man squad for the three-game trip to Qatar from the 6th  - 11th January 2007.

The Irish squad will arrive in Doha on Saturday, January 6th and play their first game against the Aspire Academy on Sunday, January 7th. The teams will meet again twice, on Tuesday, January 9th as well as on Thursday, January 11th.

"This is an excellent opportunity for our players to experience a contrasting style of football," said Butler. "The Aspire Academy are renowned for developing young sporting talent in Asia and they are sure to provide good opposition for our team."

The Republic of Ireland Under-15 squad kick off their season this week with a double-fixture against the Netherlands in Dublin.

The first game between the nations goes ahead on Tuesday, November 28th at 19.30hrs and they meet again two days later on Thursday, 30th November at 11.30hrs. Both games will be played in Home Farm’s Whitehall ground.

Ireland manager Vincent Butler has selected a squad of 21 players and will choose a panel of 17 for each of the games. Included in the squad are Robert Brady of St. Kevin’s Boys and Danny Joyce from Belvedere, both of whom have already been capped at the Under-16 level for Ireland this season.

Dutch team coach Wim van Zwam has also finalised his panel and has drawn upon players from a host of clubs in Holland, amongst them representatives of Ajax, PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord.

Ireland will follow up this week’s games with a three-game tour of Qatar in the Middle-east starting on January 7th. They also have two tri-nations tournaments, one in Switzerland and the other in Dublin, over a two-week period during May.
