Three Belvedere Players Join British Professional Clubs

Best wishes for the future from Belvedere F.C. to Paul Cahillane (Celtic), Gary Breen (Manchester City) and Brendan Moloney (Nottingham Forest) as they head off this month to further their careers in the game with British professional clubs.

Paul, who plays on the left wing, has spent the last three seasons with Belvedere. In such time he has progressed greatly and has been capped at under 15 and 16 level for the Republic of Ireland. He has two All-Ireland winners' medals, as Belvedere won back to back SFAI National Cup competitions at under 14 and 15. He also captained his side to victory last season.

Gary has been with Belvedere for two seasons. He stands at 6'3" and plays centre half. He, like Paul has won two All-Ireland winners' medals and has also been capped for the Republic of Ireland at both under 15 and 16 level.

Brendan, who plays at right back, has been with Belvedere for one season. In such a short time with the club he established himself as a pretty useful full back who has caught the eye. He settled into the team straight away and improved as the season wore on. He has an Under 15 All-Ireland Cup winners' medal to his credit and has also been capped at under 15 and 16 level for the Republic of Ireland. .

All three players stand a good chance of progressing with their new clubs, as they have the ability, desire and the right attitude that young players need when joining professional clubs.

Good luck to the three lads in their new football careers.
