Belvedere Teams Head Abroad for Easter

Good luck to Belvedere Under 13's and 14's Premier teams who fly out on Good Friday to play football abroad during the weekend.

The Under 13's travel to Spain to play in the Copa Costa Brava Tournament, taking place near Barcelona, while the Under 14's head to London as guests of Millwall F.C.

Belvedere Under 13's are in a difficult group for the opening round of the Copa Costa Brava Tournament, where they will play teams from Italy, Germany and England.

Manager Wesley Robb will be hoping that his team can produce the kind of form they have shown of late in the league and in the National SFAI Troy Cup competition, in which they have reached the quarter-finals.

Travelling to, and playing in this prestigious tournament will no doubt provide an excellent opportunity for the players to gain some valuable experience, as they take on teams from different countries.

Also on the itinerary for the Under 13's, before they return to Ireland on Tuesday, will be a visit to the Nou Camp Stadium in Barcelona.

While in London, as guests of Millwall F.C., Belvedere Under 14's will play two matches and they will also benefit from coaching sessions organised by the Millwall coaching staff.

Manager Archie O'Connor also sees this trip as a bonding exercise for his players as well as providing great experience, as they take on some top class opposition over weekend.

Before they return home on Sunday, no doubt also, the Under 14's will find time to visit some of London's many attractions.
