Celtic Debut for Belvedere's Sheridan
Dreams do come true! That was evident last Sunday for former Belvedere front man Cillian Sheridan who came on as a second half substitute for Glasgow Celtic in the Scottish Cup quarter final game against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
With Celtic one nil down, Sheridan replaced Wilson on 73 minutes to join in the attack as Celtic looked to get back into the game. Everyone was settling down for a draw when Stephen Presley equalised on 88 minutes.
But two minutes into injury time, Kenny Miller scored the winner after a neat one - two with Sheridan. What a way to mark your debut. Cillian, who also celebrated his 18th. birthday on Friday last, was in obvious euphoric mood after the game.
Cillian left Belvedere last July to begin his career with Celtic. In that short space of time he has gone from "The Park of Dreams" (Fairview Park) to the Celtic first team. If that's not enough, today Tuesday 27 February 2007 he signed a new three year contract with The Bhoys.
Everyone at Belvedere F.C. sends Cillian congratulations and best
wishes.
