Portlaoise native, Paul became the first boy ever from County Laois to be capped at international level for the Republic of Ireland, when he played against Austria in the Under 16 friendly international in October 2004.

Paul plays with Belvedere Under 15's Premier team, winners last season of the National SFAI Under 14 Goodson Cup.

A very good prospect, Paul has attracted the interest of a number of overseas clubs.
