The Nobel Peace Prize Concert is held annually in Oslo to honour the Nobel lauriates.

The 1999 Concert took place on the 8th December in Oslo Spektrum and featured performances from international artist such as Sting, Brian Ferry, a1, The Corrs, Secret Garden, Ladysmith Black Mambazo & Tina Turner.

Two separate stages were required to facilitate the quick turn-around of the many sizeable bands performing live on the evening and a separte area of the set accomodated a fifty-six piece orchestra.
