A curved Scannachrome panel was backlit by florescent tubes augmented by elements based on the Nationwide logo.

The centrepiece was of steel construction and the side pieces were sandblasted polycarbonate fixed to a metallic finished column topped by a circular florescent fitting.

A circular carpeted rostrum defined the presenters area. A custom built coffee table was used rather than a desk arrangement to emphasize the informality of the presentation.

The Studio floor was covered in polished black laconite to reflect the scenic elements of the set and add interest to the lower half of the frame in the opening wide shot.
