The Irish School of Landscape Painting
is the oldest Holiday Painting School in Ireland running for 50 years, from 1957, when Kenneth Webb
first founded the school. Our page on the internet was first launched in 1992 and has remained a popular place for both painters in Ireland and those of you International painters.
We have had guests from American from Maine to Alaska (and that is not a joke, but later..), France, Italy, many from the UK, Germany and elsewhere. Ah yes, the Alaskan Ladies..
All students are warned, before coming on a painting course, that the Irish Blanket Bog out in Connemara can be cold and hard when watching a Painting Demonstration or painting out on site, as the school does weather permitting. Bring warm
clothes and suitable footwear, is said often. The Alsakan Ladies were used to it and wore runners (trainer) and by noon were in tears. Kenneth recognized the emergency and rushed
them back to the cottage and fed them good olde Irish Whiskey and better boots, and they were back on site fealing no pain!
