Take To The Road For A Nationwide Irish Tour In
March
Northern Ireland trio Relish make a triumphant return
to Ireland with a nationwide Irish Tour in March, following the
huge success of their Platinum selling debut album 'Wildflowers'.
One of the highlights for the band last year, was
an invite from U2 to perform with them at Slane Castle, where the
band received an ecstatic reaction!
"The gentle wind-carried melodies are courtesy
of Relish, the ideal accompaniment to all this unbelievable sun
and endless blue sky, who supply proof positive that there is
no such thing as playing a festival too early in the day. Happily
we arrive just in time to bask in the wistfully sweet entreaty
of 'It's You I'm Thinking Of' - Ken Papenfus' skylark-soul voice
as effortlessly lovely as the breeze that carries it - and from
gospel-groove along to the gentle love-in of 'Rainbow Zephyr'.
Even this early on, we're grinning and hugging ourselves, and
everything is very much alright with the world."
.......Kim Porcelli, Hot Press
Relish were awarded 'Hope of 2001' at the Meteor
Awards, 'Best Irish Band' at the Irish Entertainment Awards and
'The Most Promising Group' in the Annual Hot Press Readers Poll,
with 'Let It Fly' voted No. 9 in the Best Irish Single category
and 'Wildflowers' the second Best Debut Irish Album!
Relish have been bringing their uniquely soulful
tinged rock music further afield with the relase of 'Wildflowers'
in the UK, Spain and Japan, so this may be the last opportunity
to see the band in Ireland for a while as they will embark on a
European Tour and take on the world!
