Danny Guinan began his music career in 1990 in Ireland as writer and frontman with band Speranza. After the release of their critically acclaimed debut album About Time in 1995 Danny decided, a year later, on a change of scene and moved to Holland in order to pursue a solo career. While remaining true to his folk background he now incorporates many other styles and influences into his song-writing. He is a self-confessed "lyric freak" and his attention to a good lyric is a breath of fresh air in a music world where words take second place to bpm's.

He is a live performer at heart and puts on a breathtaking show whether performing in the back of your local pub, in Amsterdam's famous Paradiso or in a sold-out theatre with his band RED. He's also not shy of the long road having toured in the last three years,playing over 500 gigs in Holland, Germany, Belgium, Finland and of course Ireland.
