Cahilane Announced as Leinster GAA Player of the Year

Former Belvedere and Celtic player, Paul Cahillane, has this week been announced as the AIB Leinster Senior GAA Player of the Year.

This is an incredible achievement as Paul is in only his first year in Senior Football.

Paul played for a very successful Belvedere team for four years before signing for Celtic in 2006.

Portlaoise native, Paul became the first schoolboy player ever from County Laois to be capped at international level for the Republic of Ireland, when he played against Austria in the Under 16 friendly international in October 2004.

He was also a previous winner of the "People of the Year Soccer Award" for Laois / Offaly, in February 2005.

Many congratulations are sent to Paul from everyone at Belvedere F.C.
