To commence the celebration of forty years of RTE television, a three minute sequence combined footage of addresses broadcast on the opening night of "Telefís Eireann", with archive programming.

Rather than simply intercut or combine images graphically, it was decided to utilise projection, reflective surfaces and studio monitors in a "memoryscape" modelled in Studio 5, RTE.

A variety of materials, forms and broadcast related objects were juxtaposed to create an atmophere both nostalgic and futuristic.
